This fresh fruit pie is topped with a buttery crumble topping. You can use different berries or add a chopped apple to the berries. You decide the filling. Serve warm or chilled with ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients

One homemade or prepared pie crust (see link in the Notes below for my favorite pie crust recipe)

5-6 cups fresh berries (2 pints blueberries, 2 pints raspberries, 1 pint blackberries)

Juice from ½ lemon and zest from one lemon

⅓ cup granulated sugar

⅓ cup light brown sugar

¼ cup cornstarch

¼ cup flour
-
½ teaspoon salt

1 cup flour
-
½ cup light brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

1 stick butter (½ cup), grated

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll out pie dough and add pie crust to pie pan and refrigerate until ready to use.
Berry Filling
Add berries to a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice and lemon zest. Add the sugar and brown sugar and fold to combine. Sprinkle with cornstarch, flour and salt and fold gently until combined.
Add the mixed berries into the unbaked pie crust.
Butter Crumble Topping
Add flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a bowl and stir to combine. Grate butter and add to flour mixture. Mix gently until combined.
Sprinkle crumbs over the berries to cover the top.
Bake pie @375 degrees for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake pie for another 30 minutes. Remove pie from oven.
Serve pie warm with ice cream. You can chill the pie if you prefer and serve chilled with ice cream.
