Rice Krispie Treats
6 T. Butter
16 oz bag mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
7 cups Rice Krispie cereal
Melt butter in a large pot. Once melted add marshmallows and stir over low heat until marshmallows are 75% melted. Remove from heat and continue to stir until marshmallows are completely melted. Add vanilla and mix to combine. Pour in Rice Krispies and stir to coat cereal pieces.
Using a greased 9 1/2 x 91/2 square cake pan, press the mixture lightly into the pan. Don’t press too hard into the pan or the treats will not yield a fluffy bar; they will get dense.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes, before cutting them into squares.
Add some sprinkles on top to finish.
