Give this recipe a try. The extra topping gives this meatloaf and incredible flavor. You will only want to eat your meatloaf like this from now on and serve it to friends too!
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2/3 cup cracker crumbs (Ritz crackers are always a favorite
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup onion, minced
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sage, chopped finely
3 T. brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup catsup
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
Topping for Meatloaf
Combine and shape 7 ingredients from list above and place in bread loaf pan.
Mix topping ingredients and spread on top of meatloaf.
Bake @350° for 1 hour 15 min.
Serve with a baked potato and vegetable and you have a hearty meal that anyone will enjoy!
