Serve with skewers of fruit and cake. (Strawberries, orange slices, banana slices, cherries and lady fingers, cubed pound cake/angel food cake).
Port wine or aperitif is a perfect accompaniment.
Chocolate Fondue

Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream

4 oz. Cream cheese

1 T. Kirsch (cherry liquor) or brandy

6 oz. Semi-sweet chocolate

½ cup milk
Directions
In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until it boils. Continue to cook until is has slightly reduced and thickened. Stir in cream cheese until smooth. Add kirsch/brandy.
In a small pan heat milk and add semi sweet chocolate until melted.
Stir melted chocolate into heavy cream mixture and stir with a whisk to combine. Transfer to a fondue dish. Maintain the mixture over low heat.
If mixture becomes too thick add more milk or cream to thin.
