Ingredients
-
2 Tablespoons olive oil
-
1 lb. Ground turkey
-
½ yellow onion, chopped finely
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
-
Handful of fresh basil leaves, chopped
-
1 egg
-
½ teaspoon of salt and pepper
-
Favorite jar of marinara sauce
Directions
In a large non stick pan, add olive oil and heat.
In a large bowl, add the ground turkey and the remaining ingredients (except the marinara sauce) and using a large spoon or your hands, mix to combine.
Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out portions and form meatballs. Add meatballs to hot oil and brown on all sides. You will need to do this in about 3 batches to cook all the meatballs.
This recipe makes 30 small meatballs.
Add meatballs to a crock pot and add your favorite marina sauce. Heat on low until ready to serve.
Recipe Note
I have made these meatballs in advance and stored in the fridge until ready to use the next day. You can also freeze the meatballs until ready to use and add the frozen meatballs and sauce to your crockpot.
