Stuffed French Toast
French bread, 1 inch slices
1 teaspoon cream cheese per slice of bread
1 teaspoon favorite preserves (strawberry, apricot, raspberry), per slice of bread
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
For each (1) egg used, add;
Cut pocket through top crust of each slice of bread. but not all the way through.
Insert cream cheese and your favorite preserve.
Beat eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg with fork until smooth.
Dip stuffed bread in batter, and cook on griddle until lightly browned on both sides.
Serve with syrup.
