Olive tapenade is a savory spread or condiment made from finely chopped olives, capers, garlic, almonds and olive oil. It originates from the Mediterranean cuisine and is known for its robust and flavorful profile. The mixture can vary in texture, ranging from course to smooth and is often used as a topping for bread, crackers or as a flavorful addition to dishes such as pasta, salad or grilled meats.
